The Good Ol' Days

I always find myself thinking about how easy life use to be when I am stressed out. Each year it seems like more work is put onto your plate and you have to rise to the occasion of getting everything done. Had I known this fifteen years ago, maybe I would have appreciated my tough agenda of daily cartoons a little more. I was a fan of the Mickey Mouse cartoons when I was younger, even the mickey mouse club. But my favorite all time cartoons were Gummi Bears, Duck Tales and Chip 'N Dale Rescue Rangers. I even had a pair of chip 'n dale rescue rangers underwear, but that is beside the point. I of course watched Rugrats and Doug on Nickelodeon when I was a little bit older, and they are up there on my list as well. Today it just seems like cartoons keep getting weirder and weirder. I enjoy sponge bob at times, but that is about it. So I am curious to hear what were your favorite cartoons when you were a kid?

I grew up without cable for much of my young years so as I grew up I watched such PBS classics of "Dragontales" and "Arthur." During the Saturday morning you also had to watch the entire "One Saturday Morning" cartoons. After getting cable I had no clue what to do with myself. I often watched "Hey Arnold" and "Rugrats." I never really liked to watch cartoon network. I basically was all about the Nickelodeon channel.

I love this post!!! I remember Gummi Bears bouncing here and there and everywhere... I loved smurfs, strawberry shortcake, my little pony and care bears. Loved Rugrats while I was babysitting the Friedmans every Saturday. I never understood you and chad and your love for sponge bob, guess I am just too old. Oh yeah, I just remember Fraggle Rock...do you remember that one?

I was pretty obsessed with Disney too. I have books of Disney drawings I painstakingly copied as a kid.

I think what was interesting was the random resurgence of childhood cartoons in middle school. It seemed like all the cool kids were watching Arthur and Blues Clues.

I loved watching Duck Tales and Disney's One Saturday Morning cartoons, especially Recess. O the good ol' days when we could just sit in front of the TV all the time....

My family still has some Duck Tales movies. Maybe I'll have to bring some of them back to school to watch on Saturday mornings for old times sake.

Fraggle Rock was definitely a great show, probably one of the earliest shows that i use to watch, as I remember. I was a huge fan of arthur in elementary school, the books, show... everything

I always liked smurfs, my little ponies, and care bears. I know that I watched a bunch of others, but I can't seem to remember them. Mostly I remember Disney movies and shows like Clarissa Explains it All and other Nickolodeon classics.

We used to make so much fun of you for liking Arthur...and now come to find out that apparently it was the cool thing to watch.

care bears was definitely awesome, I loved that cloud car they all flew around in. Clarissa explains it all, isn't that where her friend would use a ladder to come up to her window everyday?
